Oliver Homberg is a 30-year-old entrepreneur, agronomist, and passionate advocate for natural agricultural systems, food and wellness. Born in Germany and raised in Spain and Switzerland, he established strong European roots before moving to the United States to earn a B.A. in International Affairs and Sustainable Development from Northeastern University.
In 2017, Oliver co-founded Boston Microgreens, growing the company from his apartment into Boston’s only for-profit urban farm. Today, Boston Microgreens is recognized for its strong relationships with chefs and communities, its diverse product offerings, and its global consulting network—serving as an inspiration for decentralized farms worldwide.
Building on this success, Oliver launched the Boston Youth Farm Program in 2021, partnering with local middle schools to bring farming directly into classrooms. The four-week program engages students in hands-on learning focused on nutrition, environmental stewardship, and self-empowerment.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Education and Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Oliver is expanding his expertise at the intersection of education, regenerative agriculture, and entrepreneurship. His mission is to foster wellness, sustainability, and community through innovative, nature-driven solutions.
